Other Methods of Piece Grading in the Program

Other functions can be used in the piece grading program, besides the Increment Table.

1) The function embim3360.png "Piece/Get intermediate (all) sizes" allows to get intermediate, all or extreme grading sizes from two existing sizes.

2) The "Additional grading" mode embim3361.png in the "Work with base" window allows to get the full piece grading by the smallest increment of the existing sizes.

3) To grade simple pieces (piping, flaps etc.) the segments or points can be transferred by different value in various sizes. Then the piece should have a status of a grading piece (turn on the grading option in the "Piece parameters" option embim3362.png)

embim3363.png For example, the flap length in the base size, size 38, equals 12,5cm. Grading by size groups should be set for it: size 36–38 — 14,5cm; size 40-42 — 15cm, size 44-46 — 15,5cm.

You can use the function embim3364.png "Point/ Shift by Х" and enter the point shift value in the size table [[[Image:embim3365.png|embim3365.png]]. The shift value equals the difference between, the base size and other sizes: the shift value for the base size (38) and size 36 is zero, the difference for sizes 40-42 is 0,5cm; for sizes 44-46 it's 1cm.

After finishing working with the function, check the shift result by measuring the flap length:

When shifting the flap points for different values by grading, in fact, the piece grading is performed. The calculated increment value can be seen in the Increment table:
