Model Database Maintenance

In the course of operation, you may need to maintain your complex model database. The Model Database Maintenance program is launched by Model Database button in JULIVI SERVER program window.

Model Database Maintenance program has the following functions (tab names in the top of the window):

  • Unused models archiving
  • Model database removal
  • Models restoration from backup copies sorted by date
  • Models restoration from backup copies of specific models.
  • Model operations report preparation
  • Restoration of deleted parameters of models and patterns
  • Users operations logging

At the bottom of the window, there are program function buttons.

  • Finish – Exit the program
  • Reset – Cancel the models selection in the list
  • Settings – The archive database locations settings
  • Check Reference Models – Select this checkbox to monitor the operations with models that have standardized patterns.

Unused Models Archiving

It is practical to relocate unused models from the main database to a standby archive. The models are relocated from the main database to archive database in Archiving tab of the program window.

In the left part of the window, the main database models are listed, in the right part, the list of archive database models is displayed.

The models may be selected by their parameters:

  • by size scales,
  • by name,
  • in general models list.

The models may be sorted by:

  • first symbols of the model code
  • the models creation date

Having selected the models in the list, press arrow buttons to relocate the models.

To relocate the models, you need to enter a password:

To relocate the models from the main database to the archive database, enter inarj

To relocate the models from the archive database to the main database, enter outarj

WARNING! When entering the password, ensure CapsLock function is not activated.

Models Removal

The models are removed in Model Database Maintenance program in Remove tab.

The list of the models in the main database is displayed in the left part of the window. Just like in the models archiving mode, the models may be selected by parameters and sorted in the list.

To remove one or more models, you need to select them in the list and press Remove button. The following dialog box is displayed:

To confirm the model removal, press En model embim11.png and enter the password.

For the models removal from the database, use delarj password.

WARNING! When entering the password, ensure CapsLock function is not activated.

Models Restoration from Backups by Date

In this window, you can restore a model from a backup copy sorted by date. The backup copies of modified models are created once or twice a day according to the JULIVIServer settings.

WARNING! For the models restoration from the backups, address to your system administrator.

To restore the model, use the following procedure:

  • choose the date and time of the backup copy;
  • find the model(s) backup copy in the list;
  • using models selection buttons, make a list of restored models;
  • press Restore Selected Models button;
  • when the password dialog box is displayed, press Ctrl + Alt + F12.

Models Restoration from Backups by Model

In this window, you can restore a model from one of the backup copies (the list of archive copies of a specific model).

WARNING! For the models restoration from the backups, address to your system administrator.

To restore the model, use the following procedure:

  • find a model in the database list (or type the model code in the context search field);
  • select the backup copy to be restored in the list of backup copies (select by date and time);
  • press Restore Model button;
  • when the password box is displayed, press Ctrl + Alt + F12.

Brief Report Preparation

To prepare a brief report on the operations with the models:

  • select the model category;
  • in the right hand list, select the patters for the report (if you need the report on all the models of the category, select Selection checkbox);
  • using function buttons, you can: preview the report –Preview button, print the report –Print button, save the report –Save button, and open the report that was saved before –Open Saved Report button.

Restoration of Deleted Information

Tab for the removed information restoration:

To restore:

  • choose a category,
  • select deleted parameters in the list,
  • press Restore.

Model Operations Log

Operations log is used for the users’ operations analysis and helps to track individual stages of a specific model development with time reference.

Workstation operations log:

  • choose the workstation in the list of computer names,
  • in the upper part of the window, the models and operations with them performed on the given workstation are displayed together with the time reference of the downloading, changing operations, the work start and completion time.

Model operations log:

  • in the lower part of the window, the models are chosen,
  • in the upper part of the window, the model, its patterns and operations with them performed on the workstations by users are displayed together with the time reference of the downloading, changing operations, the work start and completion time.

The operations log is saved to a file by pressing the respective button. This file is for the program builders’ use.
